Carers Survey

Calling all carers- please complete our survey.

The survey findings will highlight what is important to both adult and young carers in their caring role and what will help them to sustain that role.
In addition to the Survey there will be a number of focus groups taking place across the Borough. If you would like to attend one of these sessions call the Carers Centre on 0151 549 1412.
A number of priorities and actions from the previous strategy, focused on improving the carer assessment process, providing opportunities for regular personalised breaks and maximising carer’s finances, will also be considered for inclusion in the new strategy due to be published in Spring.
Cllr Sean Donnelly, Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care said: “When developing the latest strategy we need to listen to carers and hear about the things that are important to them”.
“Carers are a critical part of the care system. The number of unpaid carers in the borough is on the increase and their needs are likely to change dramatically over the next ten years and beyond. This latest strategy will reaffirm our commitment to supporting carers and recognising their importance in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”
You can find the survey here or pick up a paper copy at council one-stop shops or libraries. The closing date for responses is 28 February.
